My approach to therapy is informed by you. I emphasize collaboration and open dialogue about our process together to ensure that you feel as though you are growing in the direction you seek to. I use psychoanalytic concepts to guide us— exploring how the unconscious and early experiences may impact one's emotions and relationship dynamics — as well as a social justice lens to acknowledge the impact of the socio-political context on our experiences. For couples, I will help you to hear each other and clarify your needs. Our aim in therapy will be to enable you to realize your relationship goals. Together we will also explore those "sticky" patterns that you might find yourselves stuck in, which contribute to strife in your relationship. I have a Master's degree in Social Work from Boston College and completed extended training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School and Psychodynamic Couple and Family Institute of New England (PCFINE). I currently serve on the faculty of Boston College School of Social Work and PCFINE. My clinical work is with individuals, couples, and other dyads (i.e. friends, family members). I look forward to connecting and guiding you as you take the important step of starting or continuing therapy. ___ Professional Consultation and Supervision: I offer clinical supervision or consultation to other providers who are seeking to enhance their skills.
