Our work together
My approach to therapy is informed by you. I emphasize collaboration and open dialogue about our process together to ensure that you feel as though you are growing in the direction you seek to. I use psychodynamic concepts to guide us— exploring how the unconscious and early experiences may impact one's emotions and relationship dynamics — as well as a social justice lens to acknowledge the impact of the socio-political context on our experiences. For couples, I will help you to hear each other and clarify your needs. Our aim in therapy will be to enable you to realize your relationship goals. Together we will also explore those "sticky" patterns that you might find yourselves stuck in, which contribute to strife in your relationship.
I have a master's in social work from Boston College and completed extended training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School. I have multiple years of experience working with folks with an array of psychological and social stressors, including anxiety, relationship issues, difficulties related to transitions or stage-of-life, depression, and self-esteem. My work is with individuals, couples, and families.
I look forward to connecting and guiding you as you take the important step of starting or continuing therapy.

In addition to direct work with clients, I also offer consultation to other providers who are seeking to enhance their skills. Whether you are just starting out and want support establishing your practice, need help working through a particular challenge, or are further along in your career and value having a consistent space to deepen your work, I would enjoy the opportunity to learn how I can support you.
